"Simple and easy to use"
I had a good experience using Upper Canada Village. Pages were clear, info was easy to find, and I didn’t feel lost. Text read well, buttons worked, and it loaded fine on my phone. Simple site, no real issues for me...

"We had a really nice visit to..."
We had a really nice visit to Upper Canada Village with the kids. I wasn’t sure they’d stay interested because they usually get bored quickly, but they ended up having a good time and asking a lot of questions. The staff did a great job explaining things like old-time school, farming, cooking, and different jobs without making it feel like a lecture. It was kind of like a museum, but also not really, since you’re walking around and seeing everything in action. Some parts felt a bit slow, but in a good way if that makes sense. We learned a lot without it feeling too planned or forced. Definitely worth going, especially with kids

"Definitely worth the ticket price"
We ended up spending most of the day here, i didn’t feel like the tickets were no waste of money. There was plenty to look at, the kids didn’t get bored, and the staff were really nice. I don’t have no problem saying we’d go again.

"Bathrooms were just okay"
Umm, the restrooms were clean enough, but they felt kind of cramped inside. Not terrible, just nothing special.

"A nice family day out, with a few drawbacks"
We took our two kids for the day, and overall they had a good time seeing the animals and exploring the old houses. The staff we spoke to were friendly, which always helps when you’re out with children. That said, a few areas felt a bit slow for younger kids, and the food was definitely on the pricey side. I’d say it’s worth visiting on a good weather day, but I’d bring snacks and plan a couple of breaks. Personally, I’m glad we went, though I’m not sure it’s somewhere we’d rush back to right away.

"Kind of tough to navigate"
I’m sure the signs were the main issue for me. For most of the visit, I felt a bit turned around and wasn’t totally sure where I was supposed to go...

"We took our kids for the day, and..."
We took our kids for the day, and the hands-on activities were what made it worth it for us. They got to try some old-school chores, help a bit with bread making, and of course they had about a million questions for the workers.
Most of the staff were super friendly and stayed in character without making it feel awkward or overly staged. The wagon ride was a nice little bonus too, and the kids were way more into it than I expected.
I’m giving it 4 stars mainly because a couple of the activities had long waits, and the signs weren’t always clear. To be fair, that’s partly on me for not planning our route better, but it still could’ve been easier to figure out. Overall though, it was a really good day out and much more engaging than just walking around looking at old buildings.

"Easy lunch win"
We stopped in for lunch it was better than I had it pegged in my head. I usually judge a place like this by the soup-and-sandwich basics, and both were fresh and solid. The kids were happy with the treats, which is basically my shortcut for “yep, that worked.” Prices felt reasonable for a day out, and it was a nice, calm spot to sit for a bit

"Nice old-time feel"
It had a convincing historical vibe overall. I can’t say every detail was perfect, and a few spots felt a little too neat or polished, but for the most part it seemed fairly real to me

"I really enjoyed the views"
I thought the grounds were really pretty, and I loved taking in the old scenery and nice views while I was there.

"Parking was surprisingly easy"
I had no trouble finding a spot at all, which was a nice surprise. There were plenty of open spaces and it was super straightforward getting in and out. Weirdly, I remember there being a bright orange traffic cone off to the side that looked like it had been there forever, but parking was totally hassle-free.

"Nice visit, and the wait wasn’t too bad"
I stopped by around lunchtime after running a couple errands nearby, and it was a nice visit overall. The lines were there, like you’d expect at that time of day, but they kept moving well enough. It felt a little slow here and there, especially since I was already getting hungry, but nothing too frustrating

"I visited with my family and..."
I visited with my family and was impressed with how clean everything was. The paths, washrooms, and even the older buildings all felt well looked after. You can tell they put effort into maintaining the place. If you’re looking for an easy, pleasant spot to visit with family, I’d say it’s worth checking out

"Halloween event was actually fun"
We went for the Halloween event and, surprisingly, it was a really good time. The lights were great, the staff was friendly, and the kids had a blast, which is always the main thing. The lines moved quickly too, so thankfully we didn’t spend the whole night just standing around pretending to enjoy ourselves.

"The costumed staff made our day"
The costumed staff were a big highlight for us. They chatted with us, answered all our questions, and never broke character, which made the whole experience feel extra fun. The kids were completely into it, and my small win was actually getting them to put their phones away for a while because they were so entertained

"Couldn’t really enjoy it"
It was just too packed. Lines everywhere, and the staff didn’t seem to have the crowds under control.
